Pendants
Various sone carving pendants produced between 2012 - present. I started carving stone as a means of connecting with the materials of my turangawaewae (sense of place / home) of Te Tai Poutini (West Coast) in Te Waipounamu (South Island), Aotearoa (New Zealand).

As a Pakeha (European) New Zealander, I focus on carving modern contemporary works that fuse together various stone/materials in particular pounamu (jade) and pakohe (argillite). I use this as a means of exploring my sense of identity within the wider Pacific, mixing minimalist, modern styles with a pacific-fusion design.
