Birds of the Long White Cloud Series
A series of stencilled paintings developed between 2012 - 2015 that celebrated New Zealand's native birds, with-in vintage postage stamps. These paintings were all painted on CNC cut plywood, using multiple-layered stencils and acrylic paint.
Exhibited this series of works throughout New Zealand including the Left Bank Art Gallery (Greymouth), The New Zealand Art Show (Wellington), and Christchurch Art Show (Ōtautahi). This was an extremely popular series of works, and a number of paintings were produced as commissions during this time.
There were a number of other paintings produced as part of the series, either as variations of the birds/paintings shown, or as unique commissions, these included a series of lightboxes utilising harakeke paper, Rgb lights, and ply, as depicted by the Karearea image with red patterning.
